The can to xenergy Cherry Lime hasn't evolved much off of previous flavours, and with all the same problems that plagued those cans, the only thing attractive about Cherry Lime's design is the underutilized green on red colour scheme. The colours look good laying upon one another, and the two even work well with the silver back drop, but I find the silver to be far too predominate. But I think they choose to overstate the silver because it's a common colour for diet and sugar free beverages(i.e. diet Coke and diet Pepsi). Another problem with the design itself is that it consists purely of words and text, not of any patterns or images, outside the two circles. Perhaps they were going for the sophisticated, elegant look, but it just looks boring and unexciting.
xenergy Cherry Lime splashed into my glass with a foam head that would make root beer jealous. Upon taking my first sip, I was greeted by a simple and fairly sweet cherry that's embellished by a sparkling carbonation that's soft yet intense enough to enhance the said taste. The sweetness is stronger and more realistic than the usual sugar free energy drink sweetness, allowing the cherry to taste genuine and authentic. The cherry has only trace amounts of tartness and is heavier on the sourness. And as the experience progresses, the sourness steadily grows to accompany a soon emerging lime. The lime flavour isn't sweet and the sourness present isn't as distinct or as true to the fruit it is mimicking, and it actually becomes sort of bland nearing the end. But thankfully, you taste the sourness over the actual lime most of the time. The flavour begins to end with a crisp bite, but it's soon obscured by a sudden surge of sourness and bubbly carbonation that dissipates just as quickly as it encompasses your mouth. Overall, xenergy Cherry Lime is easily my favourite tasting xenergy drink yet, which is not only an honor but a feat that's truly impressive.
xenergy Cherry Lime's kick is just as impressive as previous flavours, with a buzz lasting just about four hours with no jitters and no crash following. Each can contains: caffeine(200mg), inositol, L-carnitine, taurine, guarana, ginseng, and several B vitamins. In the end, xenergy Cherry Lime sadly may not receive all the attention it deserves because of it's uninteresting can, which is a shame given its taste and kicks quality.
