From Crystal Light, this grape flavoured drink mix gets its point across, telling consumers about its dirty habit of containing caffeine and the likes, but the sachet that holds the powder is a bit too verbose. There is no reason to say "energy releasing B vitamins," or really even mention the actual flavour, considering there is not only a picture of the fruit, but the top and bottom tip are purple.
The pretty colour of the box did not translate to the drink itself, being much more of dull bluish purple. The flavour, however, is shockingly stark, kicking one's teeth with a potent sweetness and strong tartness. The two give the dumbly simple grape taste a great candied quality, even with purely artificial sugars and usual subsequent aftertaste, the fruit feels right at home within both the amateur complexity and counterfeit saccharinity. The latter bites the back of one's throat, pinching it with an equally asinine cloyingness that surprisingly does not make the experience an unenjoyable one, and actually, Crystal Light Grape is a bit of a guilty pleasure.
There is 120 milligrams of caffeine and some B vitamins, a truly unexciting blend that was probably deliberate, with the consumer base probably not accustomed to larger amounts, at least in their eyes. The kick was two and a half hours long, being rather generous. All in all, Crystal Light Grape Energy Drink Mix feels more like an introductory course to energy drinks rather than actually being one.

ReplyDeleteLol. U cnt even spell ridiculous right! Hahaha look who's being verbose
Deleterediculous review, just tell it how it is, leave the fancy big words at home.
ReplyDeleteIt tastes horrible. Made me a nervous wreck and sick to my stomach in 5 minutes. Horrible product. Don't waste your money.
ReplyDeletei have recently had to quit drinking soda pop, and was drinking crystal light as a replacement, but where i live, in fraser co. they do not have many of the flavors to choose from so i tried the grape energy drink, and found that it was excellent tasting and almost has a bit of a fizz! also, they took my advice and lightened up on the food coloring that is in the raspberry ice, that has been ruining my clothing, carpets and sheets. the lighter color may not look as good but the flavor is great and the staining of my stuff has greatly been reduced, didn't like the strawberry so much but have bought the mango and orange flavors and look forward to trying them! karin wrape, fraser, co.
ReplyDeleteI like it, recently stopped drinking diet soda.
ReplyDeleteIgnore the ridiculous review. CL Grape tastes great and provides a definite energy kick. I love it, but can't drink it late at night.
ReplyDeleteIt taste good but made me feel really sick...but not a energy drink User so Probley why...trying to fig how to make this feeling go away
ReplyDeletemade me very jittery and sick with 15 minutes- drink a high amount of caffine normally
ReplyDeleteI've been drinking energy drinks for years that cost much more and found that 2 of the crystal lite packs give me the came results. The taste is better too.The only difference is my old energy drink is all natural which unfortunately I can say for crystal lite. Maybe that's why it cost $1.00 per pack instead of 25 € ya think?
ReplyDeleteI thought this is pretty good & tatses better than grape Pure Kick Energy Drink Mix.
