Garbage Pail Kids Adam Cherry Bomb Energy Drink Review

Garbage Pail Kids is far from the first media tie-in I would want to drink; they are nasty little things! Though the parody series picked a pretty generic one for their energy drink expansion, "Adam Bomb," now appropriately (and cleverly) named "Adam Cherry Bomb," the packaging remains pretty unappetizing- mmm, don't you want to sip on something with an exploding kid's head?

The flavor is, well, surprisingly decent. Cherry is the star of the show but zealously idles on the rocky cusp of being shadowed by the sweetness, forty grams of high fructose corn syrup (for those of you watching your intake this Holiday season, that is 80% of your suggested daily value). Things are sweet, but the stone fruit rolls over and soaks in the glory of the gummy, viscous saccharinity; it loves it, like a flower in the sunshine. Acidity is somehow able to break through the the combative sugariness, granting imbibes a blunt but brief burst of tartness. It is an experience that almost does not gels, but somehow ends up being very drinkable.

In addition to 100 milligrams of caffeine, B vitamins, guarana, taurine, ginseng, and inositol making up today's energy blend. It is a complete waste of ingredients, a mediocre chemical cocktail crafting a mediocre kick, lasting an hour and a half at most. To end, Garbage Pail Kids Adam Cherry Bomb is a roller coaster of good and bad. Mostly bad, but unpredictably adequate when good.
