rip it Sting-eR-Mo Energy Drink Review

I've been trying to get rip it Sting-eR-Mo since 2007, and thanks to the company for some samples, I'm finally able to review it. Mo uses the same tired and true design of the rest of the line, but the black, green and silver colour scheme really brings out its full potential. It's edgy and appealing to the eye. While I don't like the $.99 on the top of the can, and I don't like that it doesn't tell you exactly what the flavour is supposed to be, the positives out weigh the negatives.

Sting-eR-Mo is a deep golden, almost brown colour, which really surprised me given the bright nature of the can. Another thing that surprised me is that it's a Red Bull clone. It's extremely gummy upfront, with a slightly syrupy sweetness underlying. The gumminess does die down considerably as the experience moves on, but it still remains too gummy. As the flavour approaches its end, a mild sourness appears and mixes with the sweetness, resulting in a sweetly sour finish. There's little actual flavour to Mo, with only a small amount apple and bubble gum appearing before the finish. But even then they're hard to identify because of strong gumminess. Overall, while not the worst clone I've come across, it's easily the worst and most disappointing in the line.

Sting-eR-Mo's energy cocktail is actually different from most of its brothers and sisters, but it's a rather small change. The actual amount of some ingredients are higher or lower than past varieties, but in the end they still result in a good three+ hour kick. It was jittery free, and I didn't crash. Each can contains: caffeine(170mg) taurine, inositol, guarana, ginseng, vitamin C, and several B vitamins. All in all, rip it Sting-eR-Mo failed to deliver the same quality taste the line is known for, and while that's disappointing, its can and kick were not.
