There is not much to say about Monster Lo-Carb's can that has yet to be said; it pioneered the baby blue on diet energy drinks, however it looks great against the black back. It is simple and clean, vintage and classic, and even though I often rip the line for its constant redundancy, their efforts here are great.
There is a lot of bubble gum to taste, a chemical complex of discreet banana and grape innuendos, with burnt sugar nuances not unlike butterscotch. The former is 'complemented' by sour apple and gummy sweetness, potent players in a jaded sixteen ounces. The three appear without restriction, bombing the drinker with an overdose of sickly sugariness and banal flavor. It is a gross marbleization of a beverage copied countlessly, a hollow shell, an empty can if you will, of a product probably no better tasting during its debut.
Each can contains: caffeine (160mg), taurine, B vitamins, inositol, guarana, and L-carnitine. It is a familiar blend and three hour buzz, covering only the minimum requirements. In the end, although I was initially kind, age does Monster Lo-Carb no favors.
