Diabolo Loco Acai Berry Guava Energy Drink Review

A sleek crimson coloring and minimalistic text looks out of place with the kiddy visuals of the fruits down at the bottom of the can, resulting in a disconnected design. It is still superior to many of the overstuffed and exhausted looking energy drinks that often grace this site, but it is a small misstep that ends up costing the drink more than the sum of its parts are worth.

The flavor has an odd tone to it; sips are never as sweet as they should be, and the top-billed trilogy of flavors are far from acidic as anticipated. Sweetness, from the familiar blend of ace-k and sucralose, otherwise do a fine job at never tasting artificial. The flavors themselves taste about as natural as "all natural flavors" can in a diet energy drink, but there is something missing from them- a sense of urgency. Every sip is knocked back so passingly that the entire experience comes off as distant and lethargic. You take your time in your consumption, a selfish potable that demands more time than your palate is willing to offer.

Each can contains B vitamins, taurine, inositol, and caffeine, 160 milligrams of the stuff. The buzz is a recognizable two hour long one, but at least it does not end with a crash. To end, Diabolo Loco Acai Berry Guava does only a few small things wrong, but there is not enough done right to recommend it.
