Swing Juice Orange Mango Hybrid Energy Drink Review

Both the mango and the orange have juice which is bright and energetic, so when this pale beverage meets my eye one cannot help but be confused and disappointed. I accept that this juiceless drink derives the latter half its brand name from being what drives golfers, their "juice" if you will, so for it to be so visually bland is just unfortunate.

The nearly colorless fluid is colorful to the nose, engaging and inviting, but the invitation is to one of the more flavorless dinner parties of recent memory. Water is the dominate taste, loosely resembling either orange or mango alone, let alone together, fruits in dire need of sweetness and sourness. Being non-carbonated does not help, but that at least was intentional and anticipated; I do not believe the company intended to brew up something so soporific. More exhausting than refreshing, this Swing Juice variety despairingly needs some variety.

Sixty two and a half milligrams of caffeine is a bit of an insult to energy drink drinkers, though there is also: taurine, B vitamins, ginseng, and ginkgo. Practically no kick was experienced, beings something more of a sugar rush thanks to forty two and a half grams. Overall, Swing Juice Orange Mango battles against the consumer, an almost tolerable drink surely never to be bought twice.

Swing Juice Pomegranate Berry Hybrid Energy Drink Review

The golf theme is admittedly a decent one, if not incredibly niche. That is in theory however, as the execution is embarrassing and arrogant off the course. The label, namely the clip art and stock texts, feel amateurish, and its Vitamin Water-esque bottle is even less inspired.

There is little fragrance beneath the cap, but there thankfully is much more flavor. The beverage does not lie when it promises pomegranate and berries, the latter a cocktail of black, blue, and cranberry. The botanical blend share a central tartness influenced by the bunch, deep with nuanced complexities of each. Even the former namesake shares in the fun, and Swing Juice's use of cane sugar only intensifies the already honest expressions of the involved. It is a surprisingly strong sweetness, something the flavors thirst with all the acidity and subtleties. Each sip it refreshing and smooth, natural and surprisingly good, if not great.

The drink's biggest problem is what is always written here: the kick. It is practically non-existent, with sixty two and a half milligrams of caffeine to thank. Why a company would reduce their product's stimulant quantity by half is well beyond me. Each bottle also holds: B vitamins, ginseng, taurine, and ginkgo. In the end, Swing Juice Pomegranate Berry tastes good enough that I can almost forgive its poor appearance and potency (hint: there is a keyword there; hint: it is 'almost').

Swing Juice Diet Lemon Tea Hybrid Energy Drink Review

Swing Juice calls itself a "hybrid energy drink," which is confusing considering it never mentions what it is a hybrid of. From its familiar shape and design, we assume it is a combination energy and sports drink, but it could be a wine for all we know. A diet lemon tea, this is a very confused container, considering the jejune golf graphics and a name who suggests the presence of juice despite having none (or at least less than one percent).

The safety cap cracks with one turn of the wrist, and my first sip was surprisingly adequate. There is enough sourness for the lemon, a fruit of decent honesty and potency, and enough sweetness to block the tea's bitterness. The two are complementing and blended well, each sip having the right amount of each, and without effervescence the quaffs are quite liberal. The back of your throat chokes with tart sugariness as the bottle is emptied, not exactly thirst quenching but nonetheless refreshing. Overall, this is a guilty pleasure reminiscent of an authentic Arnold Palmer.

Each twenty ounce bottle contains: caffeine (around 124mg), taurine, B vitamins, ginseng, and ginkgo. The buzz was unspectacular, lasting under an hour without jitters or reaching an admiral strength. In the end, Swing Juice Diet Lemon Tea is a young product who makes its inexperience all too obvious.
