Big Jak Yellow Energy Drink Review

This greenish yellow is not as prepossessing as was the Orange variety's orange. The "Yellow" banner above the logo is very difficult to read, and although there is nothing particularly creative about it, the design feels professional and premium regardless. On the can's back one does wonder why the caffeine content (164mg) is listed separate from the supplement facts, shyly stated below and almost as if the drink is shameful about the rather mediocre amount.

Big Jak Yellow was opened without very high expectations, and the unbosomed flavor is superficially nothing special. Tasting almost blandly of lemon, it is gratuitously sugary without any expression of depth. If anything some melon taste comes into sight, but the focus remains exclusive to its tart and summarized citrus. I was ready to call the flavor an 'uninterestingly cautious abridgment a fruit's honest complexity,' but the gulps were refreshing and they were big. This is a guilty pleasure if I have ever tasted one, a forgivably inept experience hitting all the right spots at all the right moments.

In addition to the aforementioned caffeine, each can contains: some taurine, ginseng, inositol, and B vitamins. The extracted energy lasted a jittery three hours with the absence of a crash. On the whole, Big Jak Yellow may not be worth full price, but it is worth the spare pocket change.

Big Jak Orange Energy Drink Review

Originally known as "Red Jak," the line has since been reintroduced as "Big Jak" probably in an attempt to distinguish it from other colour named drinks. Common years ago, they just sound stupid and uncreative now a days, and limit how many varieties they can offer. Big Jak Orange is easy on the eyes and successfully feels sophisticated, however their attempt does not exactly allow for much personality.

The flavour is an unexpectedly unrelenting orange, thickly sugary and mildly sour but with no depth or complexity to the citrus. It is an unusual concentrate of simplicity, piercingly potent but yet somehow never unpleasantly fruity. The saccharinity is similarly strong; far from cloying or syrupy or just being too sweet. It is a vibrant experience, and its shocking strength partially excuses its lack of actual identity and uncomplicatedness.

There is a decent amount of energy from this one, lasting three hours without jitters or a crash. Each can contains: caffeine (164mg), taurine, ginseng, inositol, B vitamins among others. Overall, there are better looking, tasting, and more powerful drink at Big Lots for less than the seventy cents of Big Jak Orange.

Big RedJak Low Carb Energy Drink Review

Big RedJak Low Carb's can uses mostly a two tone colour scheme of red and silver that just do not compliment one another. The silver, chosen to immediately tell drinkers this is low calorie, is definitely the problem colour, as it has an ugly bare aluminum quality that is not often associated with high quality.

The flavour's initial contact is sour bluntly, but pleasingly so even if it is a bit stronger than you may expect, however there is not much of a distinct flavour. Sure, there is some vanilla to taste, but just barely, and judging by what one can taste it is not very authentic to its expensive inspiration. There is also some blue raspberry to note, and it plays well within the stupid feebleness of the general experience because it inheritably is a stupidly simple flavour. There is also some red raspberry noticeable, and though it is more genuine than its blue brother, neither itself or the tartness it displays taste convincing nor does it provide any naturalness for the wholly inorganic flavour. The taste of green grapes is noticeable after all the former, and for something appearing so late it is surprisingly stark. It builds off of the preceding raspberries initially but quickly becomes more of its own taste, but with soft suggestions to what originally inspired it. Overall, Big RedJak Low Carb's taste has a lot going on, but not much going for it.

The buzz was what one expects from your typical drink, with three or so hours of actual energy. Each can contains: caffeine(164mg), inositol, ginseng, taurine, and several B vitamins. In the end, Big RedJak Low Carb is worth the premium price tag of seventy cents that Big Lots charges, but the unexceptional quality is probably why it is there in the first place.

Big RedJak Energy Drink Review

Big RedJak used to come in a much different can, and while the original design certainly had its creativity, the elegance and sophistication of it currently is certainly more enjoyable. Unlike many there isn't any juvenile humour, but perhaps better yet is how it doesn't attempt to appear hardcore, or strive to fit in with an intimidating name or design. It's sleek and knows it, and knows people will pleasure this refreshing change of pace.

Big RedJak's taste is rather unexpected, considering its name contains the cliche word "red." It's initially heavy laden with blue raspberry, one that's noticed throughout each sip for its entire duration, and the flavour is much like how it's always represented; simple, sweet, and sour. And while the latter two are both acutely delineated, the sourness is particularly penetrating, which unlike sweetness is not something we're used to experiencing. The acerbity is almost, if not already, overpowering, with it obscuring not only the aforementioned flavour but also any subsequent, namely the mild tastes of red raspberry and vanilla. The first seems to coyly deepen the general berry sapor, however indistinct it may actually be, and the second appears to publish a pittance of cream that's appreciated by the acidulousness. Overall, Big RedJak doesn't taste as good as it should, even if it isn't all that bad.

Each can contains: caffeine(164mg), inositol, a few B vitamins, taurine, and ginseng. The three hour buzz wasn't anything special, but there was the pleasing absence of jitters or following crash. All in all, Big RedJak doesn't ever offend, but it never really impresses either.
