Green-Up Pomegranate Energy Drink Review

Pomegranates are more pinkish red than orange, but since their Cranberry variety is already crimson, the company was forced to choose another color. Unfortunately, their decision is farcical and nonsensical, probably confusing drinkers into expectating a crazy "orange/pomegranate" flavor.

Deftly crisp with a sort of bittersweet finish, the flavor demurely describes the namesake as syrupy with ascertainable apple abstractions. Containing fruit nectar brings noticeable honesty into every sip, with a white grape presentment and its saccharine precociousness padding the drink's subtly and complexity. By your last sip you taste little of the promised pomegranate, and instead quaff down something along the lines of a store brand apple juice cocktail, an experience as good as that could ever be.

Eighty milligrams of caffeine and guarana make up the energy blend here, average hour long energy for something eight ounces. All in all, Green-Up Pomegranate is a drink who quickly fades from memory.

Green-Up Cranberry Energy Drink Review

A problem for many of the early Red Bull clones when they expanded their offerings, a drink called Green-Up feels a bit silly with a red can. The main problem is the name, who although probably derives from its advertised naturalness, immediately calls for a green can, or risk looking ridiculous.

Pheromones of actual juice come exploding out of the can, and influence the flavor in obvious ways. It is hardly carbonated but rough around the edges regardless, thanks in part by the fruits' organic bite. It tastes namely of cranberry, but apple and red grape certainly play some notes here; all minimally sweetened, earthy and somewhat tart. It is a balanced experience, a conspicuous Canadian cocktail with far more ambition than its tropical brother.

The kick suffers from the small eight ounces, lasting only an hour and a half. Each can contains only guarana and eighty milligrams of caffeine. Overall, Green-Up Cranberry is purposeful product who's taste shines through the foggy can and kick.

Green-Up Tropical Energy Drink Review

Green-Up's can is certainly green, but with that I only understand half of its name. What is so 'up' about this drink is a mystery, as is the identity of the creature who presents only their eye. But that is digging too deep into things; the can is questionably small but balanced, however the logo fights with the aforementioned eye to be the first thing your's notices.

Open goes the can and taken is my first sip. Chilled but far from frozen, the drink's effervescence is enervated and the texture is thin. The flavor is unfocused, with a piercing tartness and herbal bite. It is rather pleasing however, with an overarching pineapple and subjacent kiwi taste. Further down are suggestions of red grape and guava, followed by vaguer notes of mandarin and peach. The following fruit cocktail remains sterile of influence from the paramount pineapple, and the predominate picks up nothing from the beneath blend. It is a dissonant experience, one unadventurous despite its exotic inspiration.

Each can contains: guarana and eighty milligrams of caffeine. It advertises being taurine free, something that would have made an old friend red with rage. But the kick here is middling, lasting well under two hours with some jitters. In the end, Green-Up Tropical is a decent distraction who is distracted itself.
