xenergy Mango Guava

I was a bit disappointed initially with my most recent trip to Big Lots. They were all out of xenergy Cran Razz, but when I desperately searched the shelves, I found something better, a whole new flavour. xenergy Mango Guava was the name, and I quickly grabbed a couple cans and took off. Now, I've enjoy the limited selection of mango, guava, and xenergy energy drinks, so I'm really excited to review xenergy Mango Guava.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The rest of xenergy Mango Guava is going to have to be amazing to make up for the terrible can. While the design itself isn't the worst, the colour scheme just ruins it. The can is also heavily cluttered with text, a lot of it being unnecessary. Another thing that bothers me is that there's an energy blend. Personally, I like being able to see how much caffeine etc. a drink contains by just reading the can, and not doing online research.

TASTE: I opened the can and took a sip. The flavour starts out a strong mango, with a light carbonation that rides up along your cheeks. Along with an abbreviate mango, a minimal guava taste appears. There blended together so well that it tastes like genuine juice, when in reality it contains none. The sweetness perfectly contrasts the flavours, and though it's sugar free, it doesn't like it. There are some mild hints of apple and pear, and the apple is higher in strength than the pear. The experience ends with a mildly sour and effervescent bite, and there's no aftertaste. Although xenergy Mango Guava's taste may be simple, it still is simply the best tasting sugar free energy drink I've ever had.

KICK: Each can contains: 200mg of caffeine, Taurine, glucuronolactone, guarana, panax ginseng, sucralose, inositol, L-carnitine, niacinamide, Vit. B6, B5 and cyanocobalamin. Like the other varieties in the line, xenergy Mango Guava gave me a great, healthy, and long lasting kick. It was sustained for a positive four hours, and I had no jitters. My mental awareness was raised, and I felt more alert. The kick didn't end in a crash, but it was obvious I wasn't as alert or energetic as I formerly was.

FINAL WORD: Overall, xenergy Mango Guava is an early, but strong contender for best drink of 2010. Not only was the kick healthy and long lasting, the taste wildly impressed me, especially since it's sugar free. The only down side is the can, but honestly, it's easy to look past it. For $.60, xenergy Mango Guava is a steal, and even if you have to waste more money than the typical energy drink cost in gas money to get to your nearest Big Lots, it's worth it...4.3/5

Itried this drink one time, it was crap, the taste was fine but i was at work, i crashed, and crashed hard, and there wasnt even an additional energy buzz, i was normal then tired almost the whole rest of the day, if your useing this as a true energy drink and not just a mango flavored pop, dont buy, but if your just in it for the flavor.
