Lake FX Energy Gummy Review

Although the energy gummy is novel in theory, the few attempts made have not quite hit the nail on the head; this product offering no variation on that. Its packaging is decent, if not a tad generic, and although the latter half of its name makes sense (a play on "effects"), the former "Lake" is nebulous. Plus, if the intent is to craft the ultimate energy gummy, perhaps we should bag them as multi-flavored and technicolor bears ala Harbio.

Chewing loudly with only a mild sweetness, these scarred and ill shaped candy slabs dissolve with much hesitation. Velvety to the touch but slimy on the tongue, the taste is distant to almost nonexistent, instead growing bitter from the 100 milligrams of caffeine each chew contains. Things are never astringent enough to cancel consumption of the both candies per sachet, but a more intense, more confectionary experience would have escalated this product past its present mediocrity.

200mg of caffeine, B vitamins, taurine and carnitine per two candies makes for a fast acting and rather hard hitting buzz, lasting for just south of four hours. Overall, Lake FX is a chagrining energy candy who sacrificed flavor in favor of functionality.
