No Fear Sugar Free Energy Drink Review

Is this a re-review? I am not sure; last reviewed twelve years ago, No Fear Sugar Free appears only a slight can redesign different. It was a fairly sharp looking drink then and that remains today, with the baby blue insinuating its diet origins while never reducing its look to that of a child's soft drink.

Draconian sweetness blasts onto your tongue upon first gulp, bringing a tart misconstruction of passion fruit along. The artificial saccharinity is savored at the same time as the punch of sourness, an experience where you notice and wince from both. It is there the fruit sits on the palate, an ersatz taste deeply steeped in grape and apple filler who synthetically buff out every impassioned imbibe; the former boosting the existing sugariness to the level of a kid's potation, and the latter augmenting the ardent acidity to the point of disgust. Going up a floor greets guava and raspberry, subtle soupcons of something significantly more creative than the sips we have and continue to take. Everything comes to a dejected desistance, with the anonymous advent of grapefruit as you swallow the last few swigs. No Fear Sugar Free is bizarrely structured with an even more ludicrous tempo, but for all the unoriginal drinks out there, I will take it.

A mediocre two hour buzz is all you get from this blue and black can, serendipitously without any crash afterword. Each sixteen ounce serving contains: B vitamins, taurine, inositol, caffeine (140 milligrams), guarana, l-carnitine- and l-arginine. On the whole, you should not fear No Fear Sugar Free, but you probably should avoid it.

No Fear Citrus Energy Drink Review

The No Fear brand's six year lacuna ends with a bright yellow color atop a familiar design. Purchased for a cool seventy five cents, one could not help but grab each of the several varieties the scrubby grocery store was selling. Its can comes with only a few modifications since we last witnessed a review, with paint blotches in the aforementioned color to brighten up otherwise state hardcore visuals.

No Fear Citrus has a super sweetness that assaults your tongue as your first sip washes over your palate. The flavor to all this sugariness is full-on lemonade, a completely candied take on the tart vegetation. Each sip is heavy on the tongue, a marvelous weight thanks to the incipiently silky saccharinity, but soon the sixty six grams breaks down into a syrupy, grainy mess, clogging and choking the throat with every imbibe. Having no fear with adding empty calories, HFCS is the culprit of the waning cassonade, the infamous declasse carbohydrate that preforms with admirable class only to depart its passion halfway through. In the end, No Fear Citrus is 100% drinkable, but it is uneven and unimpressive considering the brand's long hiatus.

Each can contains: B vitamins, taurine, inositol, caffeine (eighty milligrams per eight ounce serving), guarana, ginseng, l-carnitine, grape seed extract and l-arginine. The buzz is uninspired, lasting two and a half hours, ending with a quite nasty crash despite revving up with ease. Overall, No Fear Citrus marks the return of the company with more of a bleat than a bang.

No Fear Sugar Free Energy Drink Review

Aw come on Mr. Man behind the counter making minimum wage, are you seriously trying to sell a sixteen oz. energy drinks for $2.99? Well he was serious, and since it has been I'd say years since I last saw No Fear Sugar Free, I picked up a can. No Fear Sugar Free comes in a can akin to those No Fears before it, and while there's a fair amount of text, it flows well and doesn't clutter the design. Actually, I wouldn't say there's a lot of text, but instead that the text just uses large print. To signify that it's sugar free, No Fear S/F replaces the red with a more fitting blue colour, and I feel the colouration works well in the cans favour. It doesn't take away any from its aggressive and intimidating look.

No Fear Sugar Free's taste is an adequate sugar free interpretation of the original. A strong and sour passion fruit taste blended deficiently with an equally sour though much weaker apple begins the flavour. Neither fruits really do an accurate representation of their respected inspirations, however the apple is the least realistic of the two, namely because of a slight though unpleasant chemical taste seamed to it. Appearing near the focus shift to apple, a fairly complex blueberry imposes itself, but it never is powerful enough to become as significant as the fruit it appears next to. The blueberry has three levels of notes, each varying in various ways. The first and strongest note is a red grape who has a fair amount of depth and a subtle tartness and sweetness. Going up to the second level, you're greeted by a greatly weaker mango who's taste is natural, if not too soft. The third and final level is a considerably bland grapefruit who has little excitement to it. It has no sour, tart, or sweetness. As the experience comes to a close, a guava taste dawns and is able to diminish all the flavours that have come before it. It has a bit of a grainy texture to it, and while it lessens the prior, it itself isn't as strong as one may think. Overall, No Fear Sugar Free's taste is unlike most sugar free energy drinks, and while it is far from being hailed among the best, it's an interesting distraction from the greats.

No Fear Sugar Free's ingredient cocktail has weakened since we last saw it, in particular, the caffeine content has been reduced. Why? I don't know, but it does negatively impact the kick. I had a decently increased energy level, with little in terms of jitters. It lasted just above two and a half hours, and resulted in no crash. Each can contains: caffeine(154mg), inositol, guarana, ginseng, taurine, vitamin C, l-carnitine, and a couple of B vitamins. All in all, it would take a truly impressive, revolutionary, inventive and genuinely original energy drink to justify costing me $2.99 per sixteen oz. can, and No Fear Sugar Free isn't even one of those.

No Fear Bloodshot

When you think of the fourth of July, the one beverage that is on your mind is beer, but since I have no interest in alcoholic beverages, and because ZMikeSner requested this, it looks like I have no choice but to have energy drinks on my mind. No Fear Bloodshot is the newest extension of the popular No Fear line, and is the first No Fear to contain juice. Now, the No Fear line and I have had a pretty good relationship in the past. While non of the drinks were revolutionary or life changing, they were all still decent or better, so my expectations for No Fear Bloodshot are in the middle.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The can of No Fear Bloodshot uses the same basic can design that Motherload and original used, but uses a different colour(this time orange), and has some mild cosmetic changes. The first difference is the "bloodshot" logo, and the second is, wait for it, a flavour indication. Finally, after three No Fears, not one of them had a flavour indication. Why is a flavour indication such a taboo thing for energy drinks? Is it wrong to what to know what an energy drink is going to taste like? Either way, the can is a mild improvement over No Fear and No Fear Motherload, but still not as good as Gold.

TASTE: I opened the can and took a sip. The flavour starts out a rich orange flavour, that then fades into a pleasant blend of papaya and peach, with the papaya starting the blend and the peach finishes it. The papaya is not very sweet and is pretty mild, where as the peach is stronger and has a sweet sting to it. The orange flavour is not very all too sweet, similar to a real orange. There is a weird orange peel taste that is over woven with the peach flavour, but surprisingly it doesn't ruin the whole experience. No Fear Bloodshot goes down smooth. Overall, No Fear Bloodshot is one of the more unique and best tasting juice energy drinks I've ever had.

KICK: Each can contains: 174 mg of caffeine, 2000mg of taurine, ginseng, guarana, twenty% of your daily intake of Zinc, selenium, folic acid, 300% of your daily intake of Vit. C, B6, and B12. This blend of ingredients gave me a pretty decent buzz. For around three and a half hours I felt mildly awake and jittery, but after the three+ hours I got hit by a hard and sudden crash. I felt groggy and slow. Overall, a fair to middling kick from No Fear Bloodshot.

FINOL WORD: From start to finish, I have to say that No Fear Bloodshot is the best tasting drink in the No Fear line, and is an all around good energy drink. While the can was fair at best, the great flavour averages it out. With some tweaks here and there, No Fear Bloodshot could go on to become a great energy drink, but right now, it is just a good energy drink. All in all, if you prefer taste over appeal and kick, definitely pick up No Fear Bloodshot, but if your more style and power over taste, it is best to put the can back on the shelf and avoid...3.6/5

SoBe No Fear Gold

They say cheese ages like fine wine, but I've never heard this for an energy drink. Yesterday, in the same convenience store that 180 Red was bought at, I purchased SoBe No Fear Gold, and guess what, its a year old. I'm serious, its a year old(Its dated March 10th, 2008). Anyway, I've reviewed several No Fear energy drinks, and only one other SoBe energy drink, and overall, the line has mildly impressed me(note, for this review, both the SoBe line and the No Fear line are one line). The line has had its ups, and its downs, but overall, nothing really offensive. But, how will SoBe No Fear Gold turn out? Will it side with the rather pleasing No Fear Motherload, or will it side with the vile SoBe Essentials Berry Pomegranate?

FIRST IMPRESSION: I like the can, I really like the can. The gold is a real turn on and is something not too common with other energy drinks. While the can's great, It really leaves me in wonder in what the flavour will be. Will it be ginger ale? Will it be a Red Bull clone? Will it be vanilla? This couldn't of helped the sales of the drink. Usually, if I'm looking for an energy drink, besides the price, the flavour is my biggest concern. Either way, the can's at least attractive and really jumps out off the self beside all the black and red energy drink cans out there.

TASTE: I opened the can and took a sniff of the drink, and some mild fruit scents are unleashed. The flavour is difficult to describe. The flavour starts out light, with peach as the dominate flavour, but trailing it are strong notes of pineapple, and some mild tangerine. The tangerine is more towards the end as it finishes the flavour. Its not really sweet, gummy, or sour. Overall, while I'm a little disappointed by the lack of creativity with the gold name(I think some play on Ginger ale would have been better), its certainly not bad and is very easy to drink, something that couldn't of been said about the original No Fear.

KICK: Each can contains: Taurine, HFCS, inositol, Vitamin C, caffeine, grape seed, L-carnitine, ginseng, L-arginine, guarana, and 200% of Vit. B12, B6, and C. This standard mix gave me a decent buzz, but nothing spectacular. I received around three hours of mildly raised alertness, and decently raised adrenaline. All in all, a decent kick, but nothing you haven't seen before.

FINEL WORD: Overall, I find that SoBe No Fear Gold is a pretty average drink. Nothing has really step out of the crowd of energy drinks. While the can might get your attention, the lack of flavour indication and the past-its-prime-expiration date is sure to prevent some, if not most people from buying this. While SoBe Gold is by no way a terrible drink, it is simply lacking this certain creativity and uniqueness to prevent it from being left in the back of the fridge of the average energy drinker...3.1/5

No Fear Energy Drink

One of the many energy drinks I got for Christmas is a four(4) pack of of No Fear. Now, many of you probably already know(If you are "in" to energy drinks) that No Fear used to be Sobe No Fear, which had a totally different can(and its arguably better looking). I can't find a 100% true answer to this question that's so old that it would in trouble for dating teenagers(so I'm guessing 20+ or some age around that general number), but I according to Wikipedia, "No Fear energy drinks under the same brand, in a joint venture with Pepsi. " That sounds so interesting in all, but I think my A.D.D is kicking in. And for all you who don't know what A.D.D stands for, I'll tell you, attention deficit-Hey look, a butter fly...

FIRST IMPRESSION: The can, while being badass(though, not as badass as Black Mamba Venom Energy, and I don't think anything ever will), is still good for caring around school, you know, to show how cool you are. The can is just a skull with wings, and a logo on a black back round. That's pretty much it. While I haven't seen all too many energy drinks with skulls, I guess this is how not to make one. Its too bare. One thing that bugs me, is the "super energy" written on the bottom. If its "super", why does the skull have wings, wouldn't it just fly with its super powers? Since there's no indication of the flavour, I'm guessing its a FreeFall clones, though, I have been mistaken in the past...3/5

TASTE: To my surprise, when I opened the can, I was greeted(Hello) by the potent scent of fermented apples. The taste is something best described as a sour grapefruit and a sour Granny Smith apple's love child. While this sour feel lingers in your mouth for a while, the flavour is rather short. I have to say I really enjoy the flavour of No Fear. Its a nice break from the hundreds of Red Bull clones out there...4.2

KICK: Each can contains: carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, taurine, grape juice concentrate, natural flavor, caramel color, ginseng root extract, flour, and guarana seed extract. This gave me a pretty good buzz, which is easily comparable to the kick I got from Tasmanian Force. A while ago, in September, I had No Fear Motherload. And the reason its called "Motherload" is because of the "Motherload" of vitamins in it. And in the Motherload review, I mocked the whole "lots of vitamins" idea, but if I compare the kick I got from Motherlaod to original No Fear, it seems that the vitamins DID provide an extra bump. Weird, I'm usually always, 100% right. Lets just keep this between me and the millions of people who can access this blog for free across the world at the same time...4/5

FINAL WERD: Over all, I feel that No Fear isn't just the average energy drink, made quickly to make a quick buck, but a well thought out drink by the nice people over at Sobe(I believe)...3.9

No Fear, Mother's Here

I went to Shaws superstore to pick up some Dr Pepper two-litters, when I happened to see that all Sobe and AMP energy drinks were 2 for $3. The vague can only differentiates from the original No Fear by having 300% of Vit. C, B6, and B12.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The can however, kicks butt. Its got a skull with wings on black with a green trim. If only the skull had blood coming out from its eyes. The use of "super energy" and "mother load" really gives it this bad mommas boy feeling. And I do hate my mother...3/5

TASTE: Many people say this has a grape taste, and some say it has a grapefruit taste, but really it is a mix of granny smith apples with notes of grapefruit. Its pretty gummie and really sour. Its in the middle of being strong or weak in flavor, and then its gone with few seconds with little aftertaste...4.2/5

KICK: Well, this baby's got 182 mg of caffeine, 2000 mg of Taurine, Inositol, Ginseng, Guarana, Grape seed extract, L-Carnitine, L-Arginine, and 300% of vitamins B6, B12, and C. Throw in 260 calories, 66 grams of sugar, and 68 grams of carbs per 8oz. in a can, just for me. But it still didn't provide too to much of a kick. It was right on par with Boo Koo Wild Berry. Though I wish they would have put more caffeine or taurine instead of more vitamins because your body will get rid of the vitamins it doesn't use..4.5/5

FINAL WORD: Though the gimmick of a high volume of vitamins suckered me in, it still provided a good taste accompanied by a great buzz(which is rather rare now a days). It has an awesome can that helps it get some recognition, but what I want to know is if this still made by Sobe? Well, to answer this question, I red the back of the can and found that it was made by Pepsi, which owns SoBe. But why would they not put a big brand name on the cover, that just seems silly... 4/5
