Azul is initially syrupy without being sweet, with a tart, partially sour bite towards the end. The actual body to the flavour is light, and mainly consists of blue raspberry and cotton candy. The cotton candy trails behind the raspberry, and isn't very sweet. The blue raspberry tastes artificial, but it's not as noticeable as it could have been. There are notes of ginger ale, melon, and cranberry though out the experience, but these hints are very subtle. There's little carbonation, which helps increase the smoothness of the flavour. Sometimes I criticize a drink for being uneven with its flavour, but in Azul, the flavours are blended together so much that's hard to distinguish between flavours, making for a bland overall experience.
On the energy side of things, Cintron Azul's kick is a mixed bag. While the ingredients did indeed contain many of the typical, namely niacin, caffeine, panothenic acid, Taurine, Vit. B12, B6, B5, and B3, the buzz just wasn't too impressive. For about two and half hours, I had a decent amount of energy, and it didn't end with a crash. All in all, there's a reason why Cintron Tropical Azul is at Job Lots, actually, there's two: its boring taste and its mediocre kick.
