True Color Fruit Punch Energy Drink Review

True Colors is the second line of energy drinks made by Prilabs that I've been able to come across, the first being the terrible 24:7 line. And while that's far from a good start, True Colors design already looks better and more polished than the companies previous work. Though I don't feel the different colours used in "Colors" do anything beneficial, and although the line "enhanced energy beverage" is nothing more than an overly glorified and pointless way to say "energy drink," those are my only real complaints.

True Color Fruit Punch's taste begins with a fair sourness attempting to enhance and excite a muddled braid of guava, cherry, and passion fruit. I say muddled as the entire flavour has a metallic bitterness and chemical-quality to it that it becomes difficult to enjoy. Initially, the guava blends with the cherry, and both fruits share equal power. Following is a mildly tangy passion fruit, who, at first is just trailing behind, eventually gains enough momentum as the guava loses strength to wholly replace it in the experience. Then lagging behind is an allusion of pear that adds welcome complexity. None of the fruits are very sweet nor do they resemble their respected inspiration naturally. Nearing the completion of the experience, an abrupt and heavily grainy sweetness blends with a cross of tartness and sourness, but the prior greatly outshines the latter. But the thing about the sweetness is that while it may be invasive, it coexists with the bitterness/chemical taste instead of displacing it. Overall, if other energy punches are any indication, the flavour isn't too hard to pull off, yet somehow Prilabs struggled.

Each can contains: caffeine, taurine, inositol, and several B vitamins. This humdrum ingredient cocktail gave me a buzz only lasting two hours. I didn't have any jitters, but I did crash, and while it wasn't hard, it was hard enough to mention. All in all, while there have been plenty of mediocre energy punches in the past, True Color Fruit Punch is the first truly bad one.

Prilabs is the devil and should be banned from making energy drinks

I actually like this drink by PriLabs. I'm a junkie for fruit punch based drinks.
