Stacker 2 Pounding Punch's can colour intensifies all the negatives about the can design itself. The pink, while fairly fitting for the supposed flavour, doesn't look at all good with the clutter or the hornet, and honestly, pink just doesn't work with the image of energy drinks, especially when it isn't within the feminine sub-market. The can's overly busy label has multiple layers of random and mismatched patterns, and the whole thing just ends up looking rushed and amateur.
Stacker 2 Pounding Punch's flavour is an odd one. Initially, it's of a sweet strawberry with end notes of cherry, and has a slight metallic taste and a faint chemical nuance that partially follows but mostly sits below. Both fruits are noticeably artificial tasting but they're lively to a point, and the sweetness, while a bit syrupy and thin, does a good job keeping them candied without being sickly sweet. There's then a vague spearmint essence that births out of the metallic and chemical taste, and it subtly chills the experience. The mint seems to almost stimulate the metallic and chemical taste, as both then increase mildly in strength and entirely trail the fruit flavours. Following is a simple guava that tastes under sweetened and underutilized, as it not only could have provided depth to a mostly uncomplicated flavour, but also help bridge more familiarity with the usual energy punch. Overall, Pounding Punch's flavour was decently different from others in the flavour profile, and while that's commendable, the actual taste was not.
The Stacker 2 energy blend just doesn't want to work with my body. While the ingredient's are adequate, I just never feel adequately kicked. I had two hours of fair energy, with jitters and a slight end crash. Each can contains: caffeine, taurine, yerba mate, guarana, ginseng, and a variety of B vitamins. All in all, Stacker 2 YJ Pounding Punch tried to provide something original and unique, but sadly everything about it was either poorly or underdone.
