Stacker 2 Enraged Raspberry Review

For a raspberry drink, there is too much focus on other colors, namely the gross gold. The baby blue never reminds me of its suggested flavor and is inappropriately childish for anything with caffeine. The the original was untidied and ugly can, but one with something of a personality. Now it is a bit more organized, but is completely generic.

The ice-pop stable interpretation of raspberry is present here but splashes the tongue with more restraint than it should. It is only slightly sweet and even less tart, concocting this maladroit but wholly humdrum hybrid between a child's sweetmeat and the actual fruit. My tongue declared some cranberry suggestions, an anemic note who's presence provides distraction instead of depth. Some metallic staining perverts the water of each gulp, an ugly underbelly to the vitreous blue nectar. The subsequent layer almost resembles cotton candy if not for the deadened saccharinity, an ambiguous taste that ends every sip with an almost powdery bite. Its lack of commitment is a shame, especially considering how unvaried the raspberry behaves during the perfunctory eight ounces.

Each can contains: 112 calories, B vitamins, taurine, caffeine and inositol. You are lucky to get an hour and a half buzz out of this puny potable, a kick as potent as Sanka. Overall, Stacker 2 Enraged Raspberry has caffeine and is drinkable. Those are about the only things it gets right.

Stacker 2 Java Shot Hopped Up Hazelnut Energy Shot Review

Equally ugly with an identically dumb name, Stacker 2 Java Shot Hopped Up Hazelnut looks no better than does the mocha variety I previously had the misfortune of experiencing. The bottle is awkwardly shaped and the label has no flair or personality, and looks more like a slacker's last minute Photoshop project than it does a professional design.

From the knowledge acquired during my review of its line brother, you may want something to wash this surprisingly pleasantly scented shot down. Your first sip is actually not as bad as honestly expected, at least it is not a poor as was the mocha variety, however it is never a pleasure to drink nor should you go without a chaser. There is a pungent bitterness that greets your palate, tasting questionably medicinal with a background of instant java badness and zero depth, and while the bottle hails "premium coffee" under its ingredients, you would never know by drinking it. But the product has a rather decent sweetness, along side the unexpectedly affable hazelnut taste, who together keep the experience from failing as hard as anticipated. Never get the impression that this is something worth the probably discounted price tag, because although it is a great improvement over Mojo Mocha, it is still nasty.

Each three ounce bottle contains: caffeine, ginseng, guarana, and yerba mate. The kick was enough to sooth my additive requirements of the abused stimulant, and it lasted something over two hours or so. In the end, Hopped Up Hazelnut is another, but not equally, crappy Stacker 2 Java Shot.

Stacker 2 Classic Zero Energy Drink Review

Stacker 2 Classic Zero comes in about as generic of a can possible. There's no visual flare and nothing to capture the attention of anyone, and why it chooses to follow the universally defined word "zero" with "sugar free" is beyond me. The colours are about as bland as the can they appear on, and the yellow in particular is unappealing and unappetizing, and while the can could potentially look far worse, it couldn't look any more quotidian.

A name like "Classic" doesn't create excitement when you first open the can, and the scent initially confirmed my worries. But upon first sip you realize something surprising, and that's that the flavour isn't a prosaic Red Bull clone. It's heavy on the vanilla, a fake taste and thus a simple rendition, but there's an equally strong creaminess to it that distracts from the general ineptitude. Found within the former is the mild suggestion of blueberry, who gives the dairy walls some appreciated depth and edge. Each sip is unsparingly soured, and it has deep roots in artificial soil who's enriched with mild notes of apple. The fruit never winks in the name of authenticity, and it's one of the experience's more recognizable and comfortable characteristics. There really isn't much else going on with the flavour, and although Stacker 2 Classic Zero treads familiarity, it's easily one of the most inspired Red Bull clones to date.

Each can contains: caffeine, several B vitamins, taurine, and inositol. You get an hour long buzz from it, which wasn't impressive back then, and especially this day in age. Overall, Stacker 2 Classic Zero's flavour has fun within the drink's general mediocrity.

Stacker 2 Pounding Punch Energy Drink Review

It isn't hard for Stacker 2 Pounding Punch to look better than it previously did, but by calming down on the pink and editing out the rather frighting wasp, the can now looks a bit more focused. But with that comes problems, as it really doesn't look all too enticing nor does it really convey visual excitement, so it's likely, if not destined, to blur into obscurity in the market.

Sticky sweetness candies what is the major flavour, strawberry, to a near cloying degree. It is artificial to a fault, with it disregarding the fruit that it interprets, but it thankfully improves upon the original and is far more piercingly playful. The berry doesn't taste distracted, muffled, or as bland as it once did, and now the flavour jovially dances about the palate, spreading its blind pleasantness. There is a splash of lime that is partially sublunary to the former, and it surprisingly tastes rather genuine, even if it is nothing much but an abridged and subordinate note. But while the citrus isn't seemingly important, the sourness it demonstrates is, as it further excites and magnifies the already blissful strawberry. Much like the oft mentioned former version, there's a hollow spearmint that's indirectly tasted and mildly cools each sip, and while this doesn't have much of an effect on the distant flavours, it certainly gives the experience more intricacy to chew on. Overall, Stacker 2 Pounding Punch is an amiable improvement over the antecedent portrayal and is not difficult to drink completely, but it surely isn't to impress those virgins to the just aforementioned.

Each can contains various B vitamins, taurine, inositol, and an untold amount of caffeine, and the buzz lasted the longest it could, which unfortunately was only about one hour. Overall and despite the improvements, Stacker 2 Pounding Punch still feels like an unfinished energy drink that was prematurely released.

Stacker 2 Sinful Citrus Energy Drink Review

Stacker 2 Sinful Citrus's can is an absolute improvement since we last saw it, and though it now looks fairly generic and unexciting, it's mostly clean and easy to optically follow. But it's difficult to ignore the boring appearance, but the change is wholly appreciated and almost surprising. The colour scheme of green and yellow certainly works, but the latter is far too dominate, and it feels disgustingly influenced by gold.

The product pours out an attractive but entirely unexpected teal that's oddly, if not inappropriately, pretty. The flavour is also thoroughly bewildering, and it's almost ashamedly pleasurable. Grapefruit is present but fairly mild, however the fruit seemingly supports a hollow frame of a bromidic ginger ale and a cursory lemon. The just prior is playfully braided with a lime, and they're equally beneficial of the others' presence. There's a certain tartness to each of the fruit that's deeply manipulated by a mild sourness and slightly syrupy sugariness. The sourness is feeble, but only initially, as it slowly and consistently augments, and by the time the experience passes you receive an enjoyable bite. Each of the mentioned flavours are simple but not insultingly so, although this is only if one examines the fruits as one taste and not as individuals. This ultimately allows for the most delectation possible, and by the time you're completed consumption, you're largely satisfied. All in all, Stacker 2 Sinful Citrus's flavour deserves much praise not because it's necessarily good, but because it is far better and more palatable than it used to be.

Each can contains: caffeine, inositol, taurine, and multiple B vitamins. The kick was a strong as it could be, and it lasted around an hour, which is the length one expects. Overall, Stacker 2 Sinful Citrus, as a whole, feels simply improved rather than evolved, with the small quantity and trite can causing question. It never quite becomes a worth while investment nor does it ever discover its place in the market, other than its obvious place on Big Lots' shelves.

Stacker 2 Java Shot Mojo Mocha Energy Shot Review

Java Shot Mojo Mocha Energy has occupied local Dollar Tree shelves for quite some time, but they interested me very little, even when they became two for one buck. The main reason for the incuriousness was the apathy for the overarching Stacker 2 line, and though my enthusiasm for the brand is still weak, I did eventually pick up several varieties for review. Mocha's label is appropriately brown, though that is about all that's suitable. The generality of all the text, such as font and size, feels incongruous, with the statement "Java Shot" looking generically corporate, and the "Mojo Mocha" appearing boringly cartoony.

The flavour is flat out suffering from the sad fate of being a shot, but at the same time the small size allows the personal displeasure to be fairly short. The taste is poorly based on coffee, with it advertising very little in terms of complexity and robustness, outside a subsequent forcing of mocha. This area is more admirably fabricated than was the former, with it featuring a decent sweetness and milk creaminess, though these two qualities are stinted considerably when compared to the energy coffee you're used to. Now what ultimately disables enjoyment is a prevailing bitterness that's only partially befitting to the popular morning favourite, as it doesn't taste naturally caused or incorporated. Instead it burns chemically and strongly, and this blazes passionately especially concerning large gulps, though it's present with even the small cautious sip. There's also a rather amaroidal acidity that caustically ferments more vexation into the experience, though the main irritant still remains the bitterness. Overall, the most apposite name possible certainly isn't "Mojo Mocha," but rather "So Not Mocha," as the product's disgusting ruining of such a seemingly simple flavour is almost amazingly terrible.

There's a pretty good increase of energy, and though it only lasted under two hours, it initiated quite quickly. Each bottle contains: caffeine, ginseng, guarana, and yerba mate. Overall, Stacker 2 Java Shot Mojo Mocha will absolutely not change my middling opinion of the line, and if anything, it will likely reduce it.

Stacker 2 YJ Pounding Punch Energy Drink Review

Stacker 2 Pounding Punch's can colour intensifies all the negatives about the can design itself. The pink, while fairly fitting for the supposed flavour, doesn't look at all good with the clutter or the hornet, and honestly, pink just doesn't work with the image of energy drinks, especially when it isn't within the feminine sub-market. The can's overly busy label has multiple layers of random and mismatched patterns, and the whole thing just ends up looking rushed and amateur.

Stacker 2 Pounding Punch's flavour is an odd one. Initially, it's of a sweet strawberry with end notes of cherry, and has a slight metallic taste and a faint chemical nuance that partially follows but mostly sits below. Both fruits are noticeably artificial tasting but they're lively to a point, and the sweetness, while a bit syrupy and thin, does a good job keeping them candied without being sickly sweet. There's then a vague spearmint essence that births out of the metallic and chemical taste, and it subtly chills the experience. The mint seems to almost stimulate the metallic and chemical taste, as both then increase mildly in strength and entirely trail the fruit flavours. Following is a simple guava that tastes under sweetened and underutilized, as it not only could have provided depth to a mostly uncomplicated flavour, but also help bridge more familiarity with the usual energy punch. Overall, Pounding Punch's flavour was decently different from others in the flavour profile, and while that's commendable, the actual taste was not.

The Stacker 2 energy blend just doesn't want to work with my body. While the ingredient's are adequate, I just never feel adequately kicked. I had two hours of fair energy, with jitters and a slight end crash. Each can contains: caffeine, taurine, yerba mate, guarana, ginseng, and a variety of B vitamins. All in all, Stacker 2 YJ Pounding Punch tried to provide something original and unique, but sadly everything about it was either poorly or underdone.

Stacker 2 YJ Stinger Enraged Raspberry Energy Drink Review

Just like Sinful Citrus before it, I had one hell of a time trying to figure out what exactly to call the latest drink I own in the line, but I eventually settled on Stacker 2 YJ Stinger Enraged Raspberry(just rolls right off the tongue doesn't it?). The can uses the same busy and cluttered can of the previous varieties, but the blue actually looks quite nice and tries hard to make the can attractive. The hornet within the middle is detailed to the point where it becomes almost disturbing, and while some drinks will try to look intimidating or aggressive, the insect is just plain scary! But without the bug, I have to say the can would lose some of its uniqueness, however creepy it is.

Stacker 2 Enraged Raspberry tastes initially of a super sickly sweet cotton candy and blue raspberry hybrid, with neither dominating, and the two are listed in order of appearance. Both taste appropriate with the extreme sugariness, but it's still a bit overwhelming. There's a fair tartness level that incompletely bounces between the two flavours, and while it's suitable with the raspberry, it fails to feel as proper with the cotton candy. The tartness consistently mellows between each bounce, and is soon extinguished by a sudden uprising wall of more sweetness. That sweetness has an abbreviate sense of the opening flavours, but the experience quickly closes soon after, bringing about a milder though more unpleasant mineral earthy taste. It remains unobtrusive, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it subtle. The drinks carbonation is fizzy, but unremarkable throughout. Overall, YJ Enraged Raspberry is certainly drinkable and is almost enjoyable. Almost. The flavour is just rather routine and lacks anything to call its own.

Each can contains: caffeine, taurine, guarana, ginseng, and a variety of B vitamins. The buzz I received lasted two hours before I crashed. It was a fairly weak kick too; I didn't feel wholly energized, and I had jitters. In the end, the overall mediocrity of Stacker 2 YJ Stinger Enraged Raspberry accomplishes nothing but explain why it's a regular guest to the shelves of Big Lots.

Oh it is a sin all right

First off, I have to say that Stacker 2 YJ Sinful Citrus has got to be one of the hardest energy drinks I've ever had to name. Some call it Stacker 2 YJ Stinger Sinful Citrus, some call it Stinger Sinful Citrus, and some just call it Sinful Citrus, and it is not the reviews fault for the lack of consistency for the name, it's the can. The can has so many different logo's that it is confusing. Name aside, the Stacker 2 line and me haven't had the prettiest of histories. With each Stacker 2 energy drink I try, the more I want to make a "Worst Overall Energy Drink" section on my site. This means that I have absolutely no good expectations for Sinful Citrus, only bad ones.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The can of Stacker 2 YJ Sinful Citrus is far below decent. While I like the fact that the can is green, as green isn't the most common colour for a energy drink, Sinful Citrus somehow finds away to make it look horrible. First of all, there is too much going on. There's multiple layers of designs, scrambled text and a creepy yellow jacket. Second, why the hell would someone put a yellow jacket on an energy drink? Either way, there is little to say good about the can other than that it jumps off the shelf thanks to it being quite bright.

TASTE: Expecting the worst I opened the can and took a sip. The flavour starts out a sharp, bitter lime, that then fades away with a sweet lemon taste. There is a mild metallic taste in the beginning of the flavour, which while weird doesn't destroy the flavour mainly because it is not too noticeable. The flavour isn't tart, which is surprisingly considering that it is a citrus drink. Overall, while the taste of Sinful Citrus is definitely the best in the line, it just isn't that good compared to other citrus drinks such as Rockstar Punched Citrus.

KICK: Each can contains: Carbonated water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Citric acid, Caffeine, Taurine, Ascorbic Acid, Pantothenic acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamine, Biotin, Folic Acid, Yerba Matte, Guarana, Ginseng, Natural and Artificial Flavors. This potent-for-an-eight oz.-can blend of ingredients gave me a rather surprisingly weak kick. For around only an hour or two I felt mildly awake, with some noticeable jitters. I have to say I'm shocked that I received such a weak kick. The ingredients were there, but apparently they don't know how to work together yet.

FINAL WERD: Though Stacker 2 Sinful Citrus is the best in the Stacker 2 line, that is not saying much. The can was down right hideous, the buzz was mediocre, and the taste was below average. If I said this about a GURU or Stoked flavour, I and many would consider it a major disappointment, but since it is in the Stacker 2 line, I and many consider it a major accomplishment. All in all, if you've got $.60 to blow and can somehow look past its bad can, taste and kick, then by all means buy it, but for anyone else, avoid...2.6/5

Stacker 2 Xtra Extreme Energy

Well its Six AM and I am in the need of some quick energy. I picked this up at the Dollar Tree, where they had four or so display boxes. I picked up to. Now, Stacker 2 has never been very nice to me. But, will there smaller shot help them get a better rating?

FIRST IMPRESSION: Wow, well I'm impressed to see these go for $8.99 on eBay and I got mine for a dollar! If this turns out good, I'll have to pick up a couple more. The bottle I guess is pretty okay, its certainly better than those widely advertised 5 Hour Energy. And the bottle claims a kick up to 12 hours! Lets see if this is a true or false claim...3/5

TASTE: Upon opening, I'm hit with an ever infamous yogurt smell. You can taste the artificial sweeteners in it. The so called "flavor" goes out pretty quickly, making this very easy to drink, but if you do drink it very quick, you better expect to gag a bit...2/5

KICK: So I downed the whole drink and waited. In pure boredom I began to read the bottle, who warns that you may have the weird feeling in your skin. But, after waiting about 1 hour or so, I still felt nothing... Whats up with that? For its promised 12 hour kick, I'm not feeling all to "get up and go" esque...1.7/5

FINAL WERD: Over all, another major disappointment from Stacker 2. There ingredients just don't want to with each other. Its all about team work...2/5

Stacker 2 Cronic Cola

I wasnt looking forward to reviewing another Stacker 2 energy drink. With the last two dissapoinments, this wasnt on the top of drinks to review. Personally, i like the wasp-thing on red, it looks pretty cool. And the name Chronic Cola sounds cool. Once again i got this at Big Lots, cheap($.60), when will i learn?

TASTE: Upon opening the can, i get hit with a flat cherry Pepsi smell. But it has a wierd metal hint to it... And on the first sip, i got hit by a flat Pepsi and Dr Pepper sing, then it gets kinda carbornated. The cola doesnt taste too generic, but then again it doesnt taste much like cola in the first place.

KICK: Caffeine is the #5 ingerident, and taurine is #6(but it doesnt say how much though) and has 300% of your daily intake of Vit. B6 and 100% of Vit. B1, B5, B7, B3, and B12. Wow, thats, different. Dispite a lot of vitamens, it didnt provide much a kick.

FINAL WORD: Overall, the best in all the Stacker 2 drinks, but still a dissapointment. But it is drinkable though... 2.5/5
