I've had only a few energy shots that I could drink with ease(i.e. without the aid of water), and Monster Hitman is now one of them. The flavour begins a super sweet apple that actually focuses little on the apple itself but instead on the sweetness. The apple taste is simple and shallow, but with a drink designed to be drank with only a few sips, it's understandable. The sugariness is halfway syrupy but it's controlled at least to the point where it never overwhelms. Following is a watery moiety that is the only time when any bitterness or chemical taste can be detected, albeit in larger sips. More sugary sweetness succeeds the prior and has a fairly gummy bubble gum finish, which ends up finishing the entire experience. A mild sweetness is left in the back of your mouth, but that's the only aftertaste. The non carbonated shot has a steady gentle tartness resting underneath the flavour as a whole, which gives this otherwise modest drink some depth. Overall, Monster Hitman's taste isn't something you'd finish then say "wow, that was great," but instead "wow, that wasn't as bad as it could of been.
Monster Hitman is surprisingly more potent than other Monster products, with an energy cocktail consisting of: caffeine(240mg), taurine, guarana, ginseng, inositol and several B vitamins. I had energy steadily increasing once the I came close to finishing the entire bottle, and it continued for two hours, where it stopped increasing but lasted for another two hours. I had slight jitters and the kick didn't with a crash. In the end, Monster Hitman was well rounded enough to be considered one of the better overall energy shots I've come across.
