Samba Energy Juice

Samba is the second 100% juice energy drink I've come across, the first being awake good morning energy, and one of the three in Rumba line. I found Samba, along with Tango, at Mardens Surplus and Salvage, and a can was only $.55(including tax). Samba's can doesn't say what juice it's supposed to be, so the only way is to read the ingredient list, which is unnecessary. Because it's a juice, Hansen figured it needed to over emphasize that it's one, which ends up making the can look too health-food store for an energy drink. That couldn't of helped with sales.

Samba's taste begins with guava and apple, both combined together with a slight rough texture. Underlying the prior blend, a tart grape mixes with a sour passion fruit. Then the overall sweetness begins to rise, resulting in the liquid becoming somewhat thick. There's some notes of apricot, but they're subdued by the thick sweetness. The experience ends with a water-like finish, and there's no aftertaste. All the fruits taste very natural, and though everything is blended together well, it ends up tasting too much like a puree than a juice, which makes finishing the entire can rather difficult.

The can says it contains the same tired an true energy cocktail Hansen is famous for, and the kick is proof of it. It has all the usual ingredients; caffeine, Taurine, B and C vitamins, and guarana. Like always, the blend kicked me for a good three and a half hours, was jitter free, and ended with no crash. Overall, Samba is an interesting energy juice, but it seems like areas either had too much time spend on them, or too little.

I used to love this drink. Do they still sell it?
